92nd Foundation Day Department of Historical and Antiquarian studies, Assam
The 92nd Foundation Day of DHAs Was observed on 25th June, 2019. A meeting was Held the purpose in the auditorium of the department which was presided over By Dr . R. D. Choudhury, Ex Director General, National Museum. Speaking on the accession As chief guest, Hon'ble Education Minister of Assam Siddhartha Bhattacharya emphasized the Need of Scientific conservation of historical Documents. Dr . Dipak kr. Sarma , V.C of Kumar Bhaskar Barma sanskrit and Ancient Studies University , spoke on the accassion as Guest of honour. A commemorative souvenir entitled “SANCHIPAT” Was also released on the accession by Dr. Kamal Jyoti Gogoi, Secretary, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
Unvelling Ceremony of The Bronze Bust of Dr. S. K. Bhuyan
On the date of 12th September, 2018 DHAS organized a public meeting for unvelling the Bronze Bust of Dr. S. K. Bhuyan In the public meeting Sri Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Honourable Education Minister, Assam has unveiled the Bronze Bust of Dr. Suryya Kumar Bhuyan on the premises of DHAS. In his lecture, he remembered the contribution of Dr. S. K. Bhuyan to Assam history as well as to the Depertment of Historical and Antiquarian Studies.
